Our Team
Permanent Staff
At Scottfresh, we employ a dedicated team of around 16 permanent staff throughout the year, working across Administration, Dispatch, Harvest, Planting, Production, Maintenance, and Management.
We’re also proud to support the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) Scheme, employing two incredible groups of men who are an integral part of our team.
Scottfresh operates year-round, with a summer farm in Spotswood and a winter farm in Claverley. Click on each location to learn more about our seasonal operations.
Our Ni-Van Teams
Scottfresh has proudly participated in the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme since 2023. We’re incredibly fortunate to work with two outstanding groups of men from Vanuatu, who return each season and work with dedication and strength to support their families and communities back home.
We take great pride in being able to support our Ni-Van team members as they work toward their personal and community goals. Seeing their progress and achievements over the years has been both inspiring and humbling.
The RSE scheme enables people from Pacific Island nations to come to New Zealand on seasonal work visas, helping to fill critical labour shortages in the horticulture and viticulture industries. Initiated by growers, the scheme not only benefits local agricultural operations but also contributes to economic development in the Pacific region.
With proven social and economic benefits for all involved—governments, industries, and workers—the RSE scheme continues to grow and thrive, and we’re proud to be a part of it.
Seasonal Staff
Alongside our permanent team and RSE workers, Scottfresh relies on a fantastic seasonal workforce to keep things running smoothly throughout the year. Each season, we welcome a diverse group of local workers, students, and international travellers who join us to help plant, harvest, and dispatch our fresh vegetables to market.
These seasonal team members play a vital role in our operation, especially during peak periods when extra hands are essential. Whether it’s a student looking for summer work, a local wanting to get involved in horticulture, or a backpacker exploring New Zealand, we’re proud to offer meaningful work in a supportive, team-focused environment.
If you're interested in joining the team for a season, keep an eye on our job opportunities page or get in touch—we’d love to hear from you!
