Frills is a lettuce variety that is often referred to as “fancy lettuce” and describes a whole group of leafy lettuces. That includes oak leaf, red leaf and green leaf lettuces. Unlike other lettuce varieties they don’t form a heart; instead all the leaves branch from a single stalk.

Like every other lettuce, frills also have a high percentage of water and is high in vitamin C and A.

Grown during the winter period in the Conway Flat, we supply red and green oak and different varieties of red and green leaf lettuces.
